THIS IS HOW A SPORTS BRAND REDESIGN SHOULD WORK

Hey Awful Miami Marlins design! TAKE NOTE. The Toronto Blue Jays got it right. I agree with the promo video that says this logo has both Vision and Tradition. 

It’s an improvement on the original logo (which is hard to greatly improve upon because it’s so awkward):

The best application of the logo is really the new uni’s with a bolder blue and unique numbers despite using that old and strange placement of the primary logo:

See ya later 45,000 bevel and gradient super-sleek whatever logo of the 2000’s!
